Junior Graphic Designer
Sam Piesse, Junior Graphic Designer:
Having been released from a ‘scholarship programme with Peterborough United FC one year since concluding his education, has now been presented with the opportunity to begin his working career as a Graphic Designer’ for Mick George Ltd.
‘’It has been somewhat of a culture shock from what I’ve been used too, but all for the good. Not only is it a completely different environment, but it’s also a whole new skill-set. That said, right from the very start the business has been right behind me in way of training and helping me to settle in. It’s early days, but I very comfortable, and if I can continue to progress and learn as I am, then my career seems to be on the right track.''
Another youngster who has benefitted from the initiative at Mick George Ltd, is Jack Fleming who started out as an apprentice, and has since been awarded a permanent contract, permitting his longer term ambition to master a career in I.T. As with the majority of things at Mick George Ltd, this department is thriving and has rapidly grown in recent times. Jack is tasked with the daily upkeep of all computing technology to prevent any downtime at the businesses head office.
Charlotte Batty and Joe Sergent are the latest apprentices to have successfully completed their respective apprenticeships qualifications.

Throughout the business, Mick George Ltd now have 21 apprentices studying for a wide range of specialised qualifications. These include; AAT, ACCA, CIMA (Finance), CMI (Management Team), Electrical (Facilities Management), QS @ Degree Level (Contracting) and Heavy Vehicle Service & maintenance (Workshop).
